Well... Kind of!
It would be a flat out lie if we told you that the reno of our #haaus2 main bathroom was easy. It was far from it! 😳
To be completely honest with you, we’re surprised we didn’t pull our hair out and decide never to renovate again.
The original plans showed everything (bath, shower, vanity etc.) fitting perfectly in the space. However, when it came to the crunch and we were actually onsite, we realised that we could barely fit the bath in the space allocated. Hence the reason it is so important to spend money on getting plans drawn properly. Where possible have every detail possible drawn into your elevations.👌
We then literally had to completely redesign our main bathroom on site. What came with that was cutting up concrete to move pipes (which costs extra money) and making an additional powder room instead of having the toilet in the main bathroom space.
The point of telling you this story is to remember that things don’t always go smoothly when building and renovating. Even seasoned renovators have ups and downs. If you run into a problem, take a deep breath and try to remember that everything happens for a reason. Had we not had this mishap, we wouldn’t have the beautiful bathroom we have today. 🙌
